Drone Surveys & Imagery
The advancement of Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or ‘drones’ has added to the surveyor’s toolbelt and we actively use them on all inspections where they would add value to our client. Our chartered surveyors are all commercially trained drone pilots with A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) and General Visual Line of Sight (GVC) qualifications, holding the relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval, which effectively means we can use ‘bigger drones’ where needed.
Industrial Inspection
Traditionally, commercial and industrial roof inspections have relied on costly and cumbersome access equipment, such as cherry pickers and scaffolding. At JDS Consulting, we harness the power of drone technology to deliver fast, safe, and precise roof assessments. Our advanced drones capture high-definition 4K imagery, allowing us to detect even the smallest issues before they develop into costly problems.
Our drone inspections provide a detailed overview of the roof's condition, complemented by comprehensive reports that guide property owners on necessary maintenance or repairs. By thoroughly documenting the roof's state, we help preserve warranties and ensure compliance with manufacturer maintenance guidelines, offering both peace of mind and long-term savings.
Roof repairs and refurbishments can be costly. For large estates or property portfolios, cost-effective drone inspections streamline budget planning by identifying potential issues early, helping avoid unexpected expenses.
Planning & Marketing
If you are selling or leasing commercial property, there's now a cost-effective way to capture stunning aerial photos and videos of offices, retail parks, industrial units, factories, farms, and land. If you’re submitting a planning application, aerial footage can be a powerful tool to showcase your development proposals, ensuring you cover every angle (literally).
Drone photography unlocks incredible potential for unique visuals and video content, boosting the marketing efforts of any business. Whether you're showcasing a vast expanse of land, highlighting the proximity to key landmarks, or offering a creative perspective for estate agents and property professionals, drone photography serves a variety of purposes. It adds value to your content, enhancing the way you engage with customers and clients.
Development Monitoring
Drones are invaluable tools for construction development monitoring, providing real-time aerial data that keeps stakeholders informed of progress and ensures contractors are on track to meet key milestones.
With regular weekly or monthly site visits, high-quality photos and videos can be captured on-site at flexible times—often without needing to enter the construction environment, minimising disruption and downtime. Contractors and construction firms can also leverage drone technology to monitor subcontractors, materials, equipment, and stockpile volumes more efficiently.
Additionally, tasks like cladding inspections on high-rise buildings can be conducted more frequently and efficiently, while capturing and recording crucial construction details for future reference.
